"Kildare woman shortlisted for Irish Art Awards"

Cian Guckian was the first to break the good news when hilary's painting "So she won't float away" was short-listed along with five other artists in the Irish Art Awards 2007.

The article tells the story of how the idea for this painting was originally sketched on the back of another canvas. It was only when this canvas was sold and being shipped to Switzerland, that hilary saw the sketch and decided to make it into a painting.
