This painting came from laughter.

I think that happiness and humour are underestimated as origins of art. They can be as powerful and overwhelming as any other emotion.

That day on the train, our emotion brought us to our knees with tears running down our faces and stabbing pains in our sides.

You can't get much more 'profound' and 'real' than that.
