After graduating from NCAD and having taken her first steps on the Irish art scene, hilary traded Kildare, Ireland for Antwerp, Belgium in the winter of 2005. In April 2006, her first solo exhibition in Schelle showed 30 paintings, of which most sold in its opening weekend; Belgium loved hilary from the very start. Several exhibitions worldwide have featured her work, running from the Netherlands all the way to China.

Ever since, hilary has been working very hard in her studio in Antwerp creating new work. “My move to Belgium has proved quite significant; when I started painting in Antwerp, my style broke into a new freedom and it has been developing and advancing since then,” she says. Maybe the future will bring something quite different from what we have seen so far.
